Pensions & policies vault.

Every pension and policy you hold, in one place — what it’s worth, when you can claim it, and who actually receives it.

NEVER PUT PASSWORDS HERE
This is a record of what exists and where — deliberately not a password store. Everything is saved unencrypted in this browser, so record the provider, the reference number and the website, and keep credentials in a proper password manager. What your family will actually need is the map: knowing a pension exists at all is the hard part, and unclaimed pensions are lost far more often than stolen ones.
1Your pensions
One card per scheme — state, workplace and personal. If you’ve worked in more than one country, add each country’s state pension separately.
2Your insurance policies
Life, critical illness, income protection. These usually pay a named beneficiary directly — which is why the nomination matters more than your will does.
3What your family would need without you
This is the one uncomfortable question insurance exists to answer: if you died tomorrow, what would have to be paid for? Add it up here, and we’ll compare it to the life cover you listed above. The difference is your gap.
Mortgage, loans, car finance. These don’t die with you — they land on your estate, and often on the person you leave behind.
Not your whole salary — the part of it your household actually lives on and would lose.
Usually until your youngest is financially independent, or until your partner reaches their own pension.
Funeral, probate and legal fees, university costs — anything arriving as a single bill.
4Where the paperwork lives
Write the instruction, never the password — most managers have an emergency-access feature designed exactly for this.
